Our design approach for Hem's digital platforms embraced Nordic minimalism, reflecting the brand's Scandinavian roots. The web app featured clean lines, muted color palettes, and an intuitive interface, emphasizing simplicity and functionality.
This minimalist aesthetic complemented Hem's design philosophy and enhanced the user experience. It allowed users to navigate through the customization process in a clutter-free space.
Alphabeta was a customizable lamp with over 10 billion possibilities. This bi-directional lighting source had interchangeable metal shades in 8 unique shapes and 3 colors per shade.
We built a configurator that helped the user create their own unique lighting system with just a few clicks. The configurator also generated images of the design that were used in the order flow.
We built the shelf configurator for the users to be able to customize their shelves from a wide range of designs, textures, and materials. The system had a generic rule engine to determine the shelf's stability based on the customer's selected materials.
Once the order was placed, each design was converted into CAD drawings and sent to the manufacturing partners.
The Chain Shelving system was a unique shelving system that could be configured to fit any space, design aesthetic, and need. Our solution helped the users to play around with the configurator to build something distinctive for their home or office.
We worked very closely with the Japanese design studio, Nendo, to create a modular shelving unit that can be configured to fit any space and design aesthetics. This chain shelving solution offered users playful functionality to build something distinctive for their home or office.
We built all aspects of order management, including billing, tracking, returns, replacements, refunds, and grievance redressal. We provided an efficient platform to manage digital content and add new SKUs.
We used I18n gem to support 4 locales & 6 currencies across 35 countries. We also built a custom localization manager tool for the content writers and admins to preview & publish localized data.
I just love how versatile this shelf is. Feels perfect to display books and magazines from all over the world in a very unconventional way. Sometimes good old bookshelf don’t make the cut!
